Court & Sky
Court & Sky have been married almost 3 years now. We covet our times with them. Courtney is working on her masters in counseling so school does get in her way for alot of social time with them; however, we do our best to schedule times with them. Skyler is working for an architectural firm in downtown Bellevue and plans to go to school as soon as Courtney gets done with her masters which will be in July. Excited for more adventures with them!
Zach & Molly
We've also had the privilege of meeting Molly in April. She and Zach have been dating for 5 months and after they both graduated in May, she came to Olympia to stay with us for 3 weeks. We had a lovely time with her and enjoyed her immensely. We put her to work in the garden and she was a great sport but we also had some great dinners together; shared some great wine; and played cards. She has been in a cast for a couple of months after a scooter accident so she had to do everything lefthanded but she proved to be an excellent badminton player, good lefthanded bowler and can pull some serious weeds. She went back to Vancouver BC and Zach has moved on to Bellingham so he can be closer to her. They are both searching for a job so we'll see what happens next! Thumbs up!!
Crouses come to Seattle
Steve and Jana Crouse from College Station, TX came to Seattle for a conference so they came to visit us. Steve and Jana were our best friends while living in Albuquerque, NM 30 years ago.
They first suffered through 2 hours of Seattle traffic to get here for dinner on Friday night. They spent the night with us and then on Saturday we had a lovely day going for a walk around the Capital building and Tumwater Falls Park. We had a yummy smoked salmon fetticini lunch before they left for Seattle. They were spending a weekend Amtraking to Vancouver BC; ferry boat ride to Victoria BC and then back to Seattle on the Victoria Clipper.
The weather here in Seattle/Olympia has been absolutely perfect; being in the mid-70's and the rhododendrens have been in full bloom. It is the perfect time to visit us. The following Saturday Mike and I were able to take Steve & Jana to Ray's Boathouse for copper river salmon and then a nice walk through the Locks. Again, a perfect night to show Seattle off to our Texas friends.
